What a week! Obama appears in Michigan and a day or two later declares himself the Democratic Party Presidential nominee. We are sad witnesses to yet another series of faltering steps down the slippery slope toward disaster.

We continue to be astounded by the gullibility of a large segment of the American public. Significantly, Obama garrulously appeals most to the relatively affluent younger “better educated’ demographics. They are those whose limited life experience left them vulnerable to years of left wing brain washing in our public education system.

I recently posted a commentary on the hooliganism prevalent on the campuses and in the lecture halls of our formerly respected institutions of higher learning and the suppression of the First Amendment rights of non-conforming students:

Significantly, in the petulant comments on that post from liberal socialist  (LS)readers, not once were these acts condemned. They were tacitly applauded.
As is their normal tactic, the LS commentators indulged in their typical irrelevant slurs dodging the issue and attempting to divert the argument.

We see time after time these rips in the social fabric attendant upon the seizure by the left of the educational establishment and its conversion to an incubator of socialism.

The degree to which revolutionary violence is welcomed in public universities is exemplified by the tenures of Prof. Churchill, the fraudulent plagiarist in Colorado U. and Bill Ayers, the unrepentant bomber of the Pentagon and the NYPD, “distinguished professor” at the University of Illinois.

Coincident with Obama’s visit to Troy, the Kent County (Mi) Republican Headquarters received a number of threatening messages and later was the subject of a break-in followed by systematic vandalism and theft.

Last year Republican Congressman Mike Roger’s office in Lansing, Mi was also vandalized.
Not for nothing do the left wing action groups revel in names like “Act Up” and “Whatever it Takes”!

In an apparent editorial slip, the house organ of the Democratic Party (Time Magazine) published the following apropos comments written by Michael Kinsley:
……………………………………………………………………………………..

Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, best known recently as friends of Barack Obama, ….. spent 11 years setting off bombs and putting out statements threatening violent revolution. They promised to kill innocent Americans and praised the lunatic murderer Charles Manson. In 1981 two policemen and a security guard were killed in the botched holdup of a Brinks truck. ….Ayers put it well: "Guilty as hell, and free as a bird. It's a great country."
Years later, Ayers threw a fund-raising party for Obama. They sat together on the board of a community group. …spectacularly unrepentant…

They set off bombs and talked about killing their parents, and the Chicago establishment didn't even care….
If Obama's relationship with Ayers, however tangential, exposes Obama as a radical himself, or at least as a man with terrible judgment, he shares that radicalism or terrible judgment with a comically respectable list of Chicagoans…..Northwestern created a "family justice" center for Dohrn to run. Ayers is a "distinguished professor" at the University of Illinois. They write Op-Eds and are often quoted in the Tribune, where, if they are identified at all beyond their academic titles, it is usually as "activists" who have never abandoned their noble ideals.

And here’s another vignette on Ayers posted on the Marathon Pundit blog:………………………………………………………………………….
“Memory is a motherf*cker."
That's the opening line of Bill Ayers' 2001 book, FugitiveDays, about his execrable days as a Weather Underground terrorist.
Three years before McCain's release from captivity (in the “Hanoi Hilton”), future education professor Ayers exclaimed, "Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that's where it's really at."

Jump ahead to 2000...In addition to his professorship, Ayers is The Woods Fund board chairman, and a young state senator, who like Ayers is living in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, is a fellow board member--that person of course is Barack Obama.
In 2001, Ayers gave a small donation to Obama's campaign fund, $200.
That same year, ironically in comments published on September 11, 2001, Ayers had this to say about his bombing past, "I don't regret setting bombs, I feel we didn't do enough."

Heads Up! We could be on the way to a White House populated by people like George Soros, Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean, Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers.

RE: A campaign issue that could win the presidency

      Dear Senator Obama,

In your bid to be President, YOU HAVE SAID NOTHING about the North American Union (SPP.GOV) . Perhaps you are aware that this is a “deal” put into place by President Bush in concert with his close friend and confidant, former president of Mexico , Vicente Fox. It was agreed to with much less enthusiasm by former Canadian prime minister Paul Martin, Jr.

Finalization of this clandestinely undertaken business deal was orally solidified at the Bush ranch in 2005. It was never debated before the legislature or made known to the American citizens. Subsequently, we learned of plans to construct a Super Highway project, in which thousands of privately owned acres of tax payer property will be confiscated (under the cleverly initiated Kelo vs New London Supreme Court ruling - also in 2005) through eminent domain proceedings. Private property is central to the freedom we enjoy as Americans and the North American Union - Trans Texas Corridor “NAFTA Super Highway” deal negates this fundamental and traditional American right to own, retain, safeguard and preserve property that has been in families for, in many cases, generations.

The NAU springs from a process, (quietly - indeed surreptitiously) set in motion by President Bush in 2005, with NO debate or vetting considerations by the legislature thereby completely disenfranchising the American citizens from having any knowledge of or say in the matter. It is tantamount to a virtual coup in surrendering of U.S. sovereignty to a trilateral entity that, in the form of a North American Union, could emulate the European Union that now dictates to the citizens of 27 European states.

Senator Obama, you need to bring a bright light on this matter and alert the American people of your position on preserving U.S. Sovereignty. The N.A.U. is an issue that, if actively denounced in forthcoming campaign messages, could win you the presidency. Your opponents have never brought up this vital issue - - meanwhile the Bush administration is proceeding as thought this privately crafted scheme is a “done deal”.

The American people and I will be watching, listening and waiting to see how you stand on this critical matter.

      Sincerely, C E Chester

P.S. Congressman Ron Paul is a co-sponsor of House Concurrent Resolution 40 expressing Congressional disapproval of the NAFTA Superhighway a and any moves toward a North American Unio
