Here is how Kent County welcomed Obama to their city this week:
.........................................................................................................................................
Barack Obama was in Michigan trying to connect with voters after skipping the Michigan primary and disenfranchising millions of voters across the state.
His message is not working and polls are continuing to show that Obama’s willingness to wave the white flag of surrender is not the change we need in America.
For his visit to Grand Rapids, the Kent County Republican Committee released a web ad http://www.kentgop.org/index.php … this ad was featured on the Fox News Channel, on state media outlets and on nationwide blogs.

In addition to releasing this web ad, we published a poll that was taken earlier in the week showing Senator McCain in a strong position to carry Michigan in the Fall.
Below is the press release announcing the findings in our poll. To put this in perspective, President Bush received just under 60% in Kent County in 2004.

Th
e media, bought, paid for, and in the bag for Barack Obama, cannot prevent the citizen's of Michigan from making their voices heard come November!
Below are the results from the poll conducted in Kent County on May 13, 2008 by the Kent County Republican Committee to gauge where voters stand and are leaning in this election.
Kent County has a population of 596,666 and this poll did a random sampling of 1628 voters. The poll has a margin of error of 2.43%.
We are releasing the poll in its entirety and the questions below are the order in which they were asked.
The results:

John McCain - 64%
Barack Obama - 36%

Does this make you:

More likely to vote for Barack Obama - 15%
Less likely to vote for Barack Obama
- 37%
No impact on my decision - 31%
.................................................……………..………………….....…………………..

Barack Obama has said people from small towns in the Midwest "get bitter, cling to guns or religion....antipathy towards those who aren't like them."

Does this make you:

More likely to vote for Barack Obama
 - 9%
Less likely to vote for Barack Obama - 46%
No impact on my decision
- 35%
....................................................................…………………………………………..

A senior advisor with the terrorist organization Hamas has endorsed Barack Obama for president saying "He brings real change to America."

Knowing what you know now

This was a Push Poll. The questions are worded in a way to influence respondents, not to get accurate data. It is the type of poll Rove used against McCain in 2000 which contained the question "would you be more or less likely to vote for McCain if you knew he had fathered an illegitimate child who was black". The question was of course referring to the child John and his wife Cindy had adopted in Bangladesh from Mother Theresa's orphanage.

The "results" from such a poll are not intended to be reflective of voter senitiment. It is a smear tactic. Anyone that believes these numbers reflect reality are in for a surprise come November.

The Democratic primaries are drawing record numbers and Democrats are raising vast sums of money while the McCain campaign is nearly broke. In special elections Republicans are loosing house seats in previously "safe" districts. The national Republican party leadership is very concerned about the future.

Your deep partisanship blinds you to the damage done to the Republican party, and the nation, by GW and his henchmen.

By the way, do you watch anything but Fox? The press is anything but in the bag for Obama. Even the deeply conservative editorial page of the Wall Street Journal has been praising the press for the way it has gone after Obama on the very serious policy issues of lapel pins and his middle name.

Thank God the American people are not as easily spun as the radical right is.
